Plum Tree Gardens B&B

Plum Tree Gardens

For many, summer is a time to refresh. It’s the one season of the year where school (for the most part) isn’t in session, and things run at a slower pace than the typical hustle and bustle. Relaxation can be found anywhere from the library to the park to the pool and even the movie theater. But what if we told you there was an even more unique way to dip into the calmness of summer? That’s right, Plum Tree Gardens Bed and Breakfast is the next stop on your summer to-do list.

History and Design

The beautiful Plum Tree Gardens Bed and Breakfast was built in 1988 but was recently restored in 2001 by Grandpa’s Children, Inc, under the direction of American Indian restoration specialist Dreamweaver. The exterior, which was kept through the renovations, features a copper metal roof with a copper and ivory trim. Some embellishments on the property include hand-striped entry doors and natural fish scale trim.

Lodging

When you stay at Plum Tree Gardens, you’re guaranteed the highest quality experience possible. Each room is decorated beautifully in a simplistic fashion and has something different to offer. For example, the Peach Room overlooks the gardens and features a wood-burning fireplace and antique maple bedroom suite. The Pansy Room, on the other hand, offers views of the gardens, the plantation next door, and the wooded backyard, and is decorated with a metal bed and antique painted chest.

Living

If you like it so much you decide to stay, extended-stay lodging is offered. The shared bathroom rooms are $400 per month and private bathrooms are $500 per month, both requiring the same amount room deposit plus $200 utility deposit. Tenants are asked to share the cost of utilities with the bed and breakfast. Furnished rooms are offered and there is free laptop access and a washer and dryer.

When it comes to looking for future tenants, Plum Tree Gardens requires that you be mature, appreciate the ambiance, and help keep the home clean and quiet.
