What could be more rewarding than putting brush to canvas and capturing the face of a beloved pet or the likeness of your home sweet home? You can create a frame-worthy keepsake treasure with your own two hands when you participate in Wine & Design’s Paint Your Pet or House event on Saturday, February 23, at 1 p.m.
A Special Class at Wine & Design
You start by sending in a special photo of your house or pet to goldsboro@wineanddesign.com. Of course, it’s important to send a high-quality photo in order to ensure the best results. If you prefer, your pet’s eyes, nose, and mouth can be painted for you in advance at no extra charge.
Reserve and pre-pay for your seat in the class and your image will be emailed to you with cropping suggestions. Reservations must be made at least two days before the class in order to ensure enough time to prepare the canvases. The class itself is three and a half hours long and costs $45. That’s quite a bargain price for a painting you’ll want to hang in a prominent spot forever to remind you of your favorite house or your best four-legged friend.
Make the experience even more fun by bringing your own beer or wine and snacks or food.
Wine & Design Details
Wine & Design is a great way to enjoy spending time with friends and have a masterpiece to show for it when the event is over. Canvases, paintbrushes, and glasses are provided for you as local artists help you paint your work of art. For the Paint Your Pet or House event, artist Tami Grady will be on hand to offer assistance and encouragement as you create your masterpiece. At the end of the class you’ll have a beautiful 16 x 20 canvas to show for your efforts. The Paint Your Pet or House event takes place at 2808 Cashwell Drive in Goldsboro. It is requested that participants arrive 15 minutes early to get signed in and seated.
